Our experienced instructor group will build on your existing abilities and help you better provide care in the most challenging settings.

From trauma care to avalanche resuscitations. From helicopter rescue to stretcher carries, you will receive first rate instruction from experienced SAR and Ski Patrol Medics in real mountain settings.

Miles Randell

Lead Instructor:

SAR Medic 1, 2 & 3

Active in SAR since 1991, a Paramedic since 1997, and a professional Ski Patroller since 2004.

A member of 2 of Canada's busiest SAR teams and routinely perform medical rescues, helicopter rescues, and technical rescues that keep my skills honed.

Fun job is as a Pro Ski Patroller at North America's biggest ski resort, responsible for air medevacs and ALS response. Day job is as an ALS Paramedic in a busy metropolitan/mountain interface city.

A strong background in instruction with a history of teaching civilian and military Paramedic and airway courses for the Canadian Forces School of Search and Rescue, a major educational institute and for a provincial ambulance service.  

Also teaches practicums as a preceptor and mentor on an ALS ambulance.

Free time, is spent as a busy public speaker, travelling to various medical conferences to speak on hypothermia.

I look forward to teaching you what I've learned through decades of experience in mountain medicine.
